Bush&#8217;s national  <a href="http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/">Presidential Volunteer Service Award</a>, and has been named the national <a href="http://www.pointsoflight.org/awards/dpol/">Daily Point of Light</a> for Friday, April 25, 2008 (which is also &#8220;<a href="http://www.gysd.net/">Global Youth Service Day</a>&#8220;) by the <a href="http://www.pointsoflight.org/">Points of Light Foundation</a>.<img src='http://www.sac2030.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dpol_logo.gif' alt='Daily Point of Light Logo' class='alignleft' /></p>
<p>In addition to the President&#8217;s and national Points of Light honors, United States Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and United States Representative Doris Matsui (CA-05) have also awarded Active 20-30 USA and Active 20-30 International with Congressional Records, honoring Active 20-30 (which originated in Sacramento, California in 1922), as the &#8220;Original Global Youth Service Organization&#8221; on <a href="http://www.gysd.net/">Global Youth  Service Day</a>.<img src='http://www.sac2030.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/gysdsm.gif' alt='Global Youth Service Day Logo' class='alignright' /></p>
<p>Finally, California&#8217;s Secretary of Service and Volunteering, Karen Baker, plans to personally    present Active 20-30 members with a California State Accommodation, as well as a recognition letter from California First Lady Maria Shriver, during an Active 20-30 playground Ribbon-Cutting event on April 25.</p>
